These are some of my earlier works dating back about 2 years. It is my hope that the pagan imagery will serve as a warning, although that was not the meaning it held for me when I first made them. I used to be intent on finding a way to transcend reality using any means at my disposal. This left me with nothing but emptiness as each system of belief that I encountered or adopted was fundamentally hollow. If you are what we would call a ‘seeker’, then I would argue that you are trying to find truth; not just the pop-culture mass-media brand of truth where everyone gets to decide what it is on their own, but rather real objective universal truth. If we are to try to argue that there does not exist objective truth outside of human experience, then (at best) we can only hope to arrive at a paradoxical half-truth. I have searched far and wide, and I can only offer my own testimony which is to say that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. To seek any knowledge or truth outside of Jesus Christ is to climb a precipice, bind your hands, place a hood over your eyes, and run as fast as you can in any random direction that suits the moment.
